HOME

Goodwriters.Net is hosted and designed by writers who want to assist other writers in placing their work on the Internet and brings together a community of writers to share a wealth of ideas, including the function of the writer to modern society.

For a period of 6 months, Goodwriters.Net will display your work for free. After the six month period, you as the writer can choose to pay $10 per month to keep your work online or pay nothing and have your writing taken off the Internet to make room for other writers. You may also choose to place additional writings online for a cost of $10 per month for each additional piece. This nominal cost pays for maintaining the website and for Internet hosting. Goodwriters.Net is not a money-making enterprise, it is a service designed for writers who are unfamiliar with the Internet and want to display their work to a wider audience.

Payment Options: Once our editors have advised you that your work has been selected for publication and have notified you that your work is online, you may take care of payment by check to: Uneco [our sponsoring organization], 245M Mt. Hermon Road, #307, Scotts Valley CA 95066 (please include $10 for each month you wish to have your work published). You can also use Paypal and pay for a full year of hosting:

Guidelines:

Your writing can be submitted to Goodwriters.Net in two ways:

  1. Via email addressed to submissions@goodwriters.net (you may send your work as text in the body of your email or as an attachment); or
  2. Via standard mail on either a PC or Macintosh formatted floppy disk.

Goodwriters.Net requests that each submission be a maximum of 10,000 words.

You may either submit a portion of your work, a chapter or two, a scene from your screenplay or theater play, or the entire work if it is under 10,000 words. A maximum of 3 poems will be accepted, along with graphics to accompany poems. Please send graphics in 72-dpi, with a maximum of 1 graphic per poem.

All work must have been fully edited, checked for grammar, spelling, etc.

In addition to your writing, we request that you provide:

  • information about yourself (a 3-4-line bio);
  • contact information, either email address, street address, telephone number, or personal web address (NOTE: readers contact you directly by way of the contact information you provide--Goodwriters.Net does NOT act as your agent);
  • a small photo, if desired.

As Goodwriters.Net periodically registers its location and contents with major Internet search engines, you also need to provide:

  • Metatag: words or phrases that describe your work (avoid redundancies)-maximum 20
  • Keywords: single words that describe your work (avoid redundancies)-maximum 20
  • Description: a one line or one phrase description of your work (do not repeat name of work)

Goodwriters.Net reserves the right not to publish your work. Kindly provide a self-address stamped envelope if you would like your work returned.

Should you, as a writer, wish to have your own website, Goodwriters.Net can assist you by designing your site. Goodwriters.Net works with U.S. students knowledgeable about computer web design who wish to supplement their income and pay for their education by providing these services at a reasonable cost to you. To inquire about prices, send your request to: uneco@uneco.org.
